Tokaji Wine

Tokaji Wine is the most expensive wine in the world. We produce and carry all the traditional expensive white wine from Hungary. Tokaji means “from Tokaj” and is used to describe most of the wines from a town in Hungary and the country’s most famous wine region.

Our family-run winery has an 18 year old history. We have achieved everything with our own efforts, without any credit, and we can say that our wines have appeared abroad. I would like to highlight some of our business partners involving South Korea and Japan – which is a huge achievement for a small Central Hungarian enterprise. But I could also mention Croatia, Germany, Italy, Poland, England, Belgium, Scotland or Switzerland. We have always fulfilled the continuously arriving orders with the utmost care.

Located in the northeast part of the country which is volcanic. The humid climate in Tokaj encourages the growth of botrytis cinerea (noble rot). Tokaji Wine has a number of health benefits. Tokaji Aszu wines contain larger amounts of minerals than other wines. Sulfur content in the soils surrounding the volcanic regions is the reason. It is true that there is scarcely any other wine so rich in minerals and penicillin as Tokaji. Furthermore, in the first half of the 20th century, aszú wines were available in pharmacies and sold as medicine.

Aszu wines contain larger than normal amounts of vitamins B, E, and the “happiness hormone.” Serotonin is partially significant higher in Aszu Wines than in other wines. Good Tokaji wines contain a comparatively high amount of constitutional substances such as superoxide dismutase (SOD), reservatrol, polyamines and polyphenols. These ingredients reduce oxidative stress in the organism in their role as antioxidants. Wine from the Tokaj region helps in decreasing the risk of cancer and cardiovascular deseases. Similar to the red wines, the Tokaji wine’s high content of polyphenols.
